I started OSA Defensive Training because I believe personal safety should feel like learning from a trusted neighbor — not surviving boot camp. I’ve helped hundreds of students across Ohio and Pennsylvania earn their concealed carry licenses and build honest, everyday confidence.

Members meet monthly at our partner range near Cortland for coached, low-pressure practice. Guardian and Academy members join every month; Citizens each quarter. Bring your questions — that’s what range days are for.

Do I need to own a gun to get started?
Not at all. Plenty of members start before they ever buy a firearm — it’s actually a great way to figure out what fits you before you spend the money.
What exactly is USCCA Elite?
USCCA Elite is the top tier of the United States Concealed Carry Association’s membership: unlimited criminal defense funds, $2,000,000 in self-defense liability insurance, compensation while you’re in court, 24/7 access to their critical response team, and their full training library. It’s included with every OSA Shield tier at no extra cost.
Is the Ohio CCW class included with membership?
Guardian includes one full CCW course each year — use it yourself or gift it to someone you care about. Academy includes two. Citizens get member pricing on all in-person classes.
I’m already an OSA member — does anything change for me?
Your price never goes up — that’s a promise. Existing memberships move to the new OSA Shield tiers automatically, and annual members keep their current annual rate for as long as they stay.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Memberships are month-to-month and you can cancel from your account page in a couple of clicks — no phone calls, no hard feelings.
Where are classes and range days held?
We’re based in the Cortland/Warren area and serve Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania in person. Several trainings are also available virtually, wherever you are.
