One Step Ahead LLC, doing business as OSA Defensive Training (“OSA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates osadefensivetraining.com (the “Site”) and the OSA Shield membership. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or joining OSA Shield, you agree to this Policy.

Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Account and contact details — name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
  • Membership and order information — the tier you choose, whether you add a spouse plan, and your order history.
  • Spouse information — if you purchase a two-person plan, the name and email of the spouse you enroll.
  • Communications — messages you send us through our contact form, email, or in class.

Information collected automatically:

  • Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, through standard website logs and analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Payment information:

  • Card payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with limited details such as the card brand and last four digits to help manage your subscription. Stripe’s handling of your information is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and OSA Shield membership;
  • Process payments and recurring subscription billing;
  • Enroll you (and, on a spouse plan, your spouse) in the USCCA membership included with your tier (see “How We Share Information” below);
  • Provide customer support and respond to your messages;
  • Send you membership, billing, and service messages, and — if you opt in — our newsletter and training updates;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business:

  • United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). OSA is an Official Partner of the USCCA. When you join OSA Shield, we share your name, email address, and mailing address (and, on a spouse plan, your spouse’s name and email) with the USCCA to enroll you in the USCCA Elite membership included with your tier. Your USCCA membership is provided and governed by the USCCA and its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Payment processing. Stripe, to process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Service providers. Our website host, email delivery provider, and similar vendors who help us operate the Site and communicate with you, under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to us.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of OSA, our members, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the membership, then for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion as described below.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correction. You can view and update most of your information from your account, or ask us for a copy.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel your membership at any time from your account. See our Terms of Service for how cancellation affects your USCCA membership.
  • Deletion. You can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to information we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
  • Email preferences. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email. We will still send you essential account and billing messages.

To make any of these requests, email support@osadefensivetraining.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws; we honor those rights where they apply.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including processing payments through Stripe so that we never handle full card numbers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site and OSA Shield are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Firearms training and concealed carry are subject to age and eligibility requirements under the law; you must meet them to purchase our services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
